JE EPFL creates Polyglot Robots
Project management at the Junior Entreprise EPFL does not limit itself to our proactive IT sector. We are proud to mention the excellence of our translation services. An example of such a project is SegwayTrad: a translation from English to six other languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean and Russian) of a robotic guidebook of Loomo (https://loomo.com/) for Segway Robotics. This project coordinated 12 students from EPFL as translators and proof-readers in order to satisfy the expectations of an international client based in China.
Regardless of the strict twenty-day timeframe, the managers of the JE EPFL were able to maintain the quality of the translation through their rigorous procedure involving an intermediary hand-in, to obtain the client initial feedback.
Furthermore, the dual qualification -as both competent translator and engineer at the forefront of technology- of the students on the project made them best suited for such a technical translation.
#GetOnStage showcases success stories from our Junior Enterprises, inspiring students from all Europe to commit themselves to higher achievements.
