Carolina Monteiro is 24 years old young woman from Lisbon. She is a graduate in Management and Industrial Engineering in ISCTE Business School and she is currently studying Sciences in Business Administration. Last Monday, she won 1st prize as the best Portuguese student in Primus Inter Pares Awards (PPIP). And you know what? Carolina is a former Junior Entrepreneur. We contacted Carolina and had the opportunity to interview her.
“Winning the first place of Primus Interpares 2015 was an amazing moment of recognition and the culmination of a long process. For this competition we had several evaluations and only the ones with a different personality, ambitions and academic path would stand out from the majority. I’m truly happy for this achievement since it proves that hard work, proactivity and optimism are still valuable for today’s society.
Being part of ISCTE Junior Consulting was definitely a highlighted element of my background, which caused judges’ interest. Being part of a Junior Enterprise is not only a source of curiosity for whoever is evaluating you but also an experience that provides you tons of capabilities to keep up with the best national students and professionals. During the competition, I was evaluated for my technical knowledge, my personality, my teamwork capacity, my leadership skills, and so on, and I can assure you that many of my capabilities were obtained and strengthened at ISCTE Junior Consulting.
Once again, we prove that the junior movement has its benefits and it’s spreading around, as I was not the only Junior Entrepreneur in the competition. Companies and professionals are more and more aware of the importance of our work and our value-added services. Now that I’m starting my professional career, I understand how it spurred my performance and my aware of business daily needs.”
