After the champagne is gone and the calendar turned to 2017 it is time for some quiet reflection about past and future.
What a year 2016 was for the Junior Enterprise movement! Despite the storms of world politics through Brexit and the presidential elections in the USA, there is a lot for us to celebrate:
- The biggest ever JEWC has been hosted in Florianopolis, with a staggering number of 3200+ Junior Entrepreneurs attending from all around the world. If you didn’t see it yet, definitely check out the after-event video on the official Facebook page
- Along with Brasil Junior, JET and JC3, we created the Global Council to bring the concept to a truly worldwide level
- We moved our Headquarters, so make sure to come and say hi if you are in Brussels at 51 Avenue du Frioul
- And that’s not all: we have been endorsed by Martin Schultz, Jean-Claude Juncker, among many, hosted a successful Spring Meeting, and so on and on and on
That being said, 2017 is planned to be an even bigger year for JADE, with our 25th anniversary coming up and also the 50th anniversary of the movement. We already sold out all the tickets to this year’s Spring Conference, so if you have yours you are one of the lucky ones!
We are looking forward to celebrate with all the Junior Entrepreneurs around the World, and hoping that next year this time, we will be able to start our latest news post like: “Wow, what a year 2017 was…”
We would not be here to do all of this stuff however without you, the Junior Entrepreneurs, so thank you for all of your support and work for the movement and we are hoping to see you around in one of our events!
Happy New Year!
The JADE Team
