45th Anniversary of the French Confederation (Confédération Nationale des Junior Entreprises)

On the 2nd of April 2014, approximately 500 Junior Entrepreneurs from the French Confederation (CNJE) met in Paris to celebrate their 45th anniversary. Fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, and more specifically, an innovative direction, the event was a PechaKucha Night! JADE was also there to represent the international movement.

For the last 45 years, the Junior Enterprise movement was represented in France by a national confederation: Confédération Nationale des Junior Entreprises (CNJE). With the first Junior Enterprise in the world set up near Paris in 1967, CNJE was officially established in 1969; and has continued to direct students towards an entrepreneurial mentality ever since. The organization connects the business world with the academic environment, by offering the possibility of a first-hand real working experience to the students and a better prepared pool of talents to the businesses.

All the guests were welcomed by Mr. Dominique-Paul Vallée, President of the organisation between 1971-1972, who talked about his experience as a part of the movement. Following his inspiring speech, the exciting PechaKucha moments started:  the 20-slides with 20 seconds per slide presentations were highly appreciated and entertained the diverse audience. Julien Combret, the current President of CNJE was the first one to present. He was succeeded by the representatives of the partners and supporters of CNJE: BNP Paribas, Orange France, Initiative Rhone-Alpes and Alten. The dynamic presentations animated the atmosphere and prepared the participants for the upcoming cocktail and networking hours. The highlight of the session were the testimonials of three former Junior Entrepreneurs, presented in a short video. They talked about the impact the experience in a Junior Enterprise had on their lives, emphasizing the importance it had in their careers.

The celebration lasted a few more hours, during which everybody enjoyed getting to know each other, may it be Alumni, supporters, partners, students or Junior Entrepreneurs. It was a great opportunity to celebrate the Junior Enteprise movement and to talk about the future.
