Entrepreneurship Education during BUSINESSEUROPE Conference
During the Conference on the European Charter for SMEs, which took place on 3 and 4 June in Slovenia, Hugh Morgan-Williams, Vice-Chair of BUSINESSEUROPE’s SME Committee, pleaded for stepping up efforts to create a more entrepreneurial mindset in Europe. He highlighted the important role that Entrepreneurship Education programmes can play in this respect and called for a wider uptake of such programmes at the level of schools and universities.
Entrepreneurship Education is one of JADE’s main themes, as the Junior Enterprise Concept aims at making students in universities experience a real entrepreneurship, with “learning by responsibility”: real clients, a real company to run and concrete results expected. JADE believes the best way of learning entrepreneurship is by doing it – the Junior Enterprise environment requests high performance, but also gives students a chance to learn from mistakes and to develop themselves into a changing business world.
